Each year these Christmas bauble “blanks” outsell all other seasonal shapes! Supplied in white earthenware (unglazed), our bisque pottery designs can be painted with acrylics, varnished, stamped, decoupaged, embellished or covered in glitter. Alternatively kiln owners can decorate them with glaze and fire them in a kiln.
Do remember that pottery offers a distinctive, high-quality structure and style that is difficult to rival when compared to other craft surfaces. For example, spherical craft shapes are generally supplied in papier-mache, polystyrene or plastic all of which has a lighter, less-sturdier feel than pottery.
Fingerprint, thumbprint, handprint and footprint designs are well-liked
and make a wonderful keepsake (see our featured image - fingerprint
snowmen). Personalised Christmas tree ornaments are also common as gifts e.g. “Baby’s 1st Christmas”.
