DIY Easy-to-paint Snowman
- Fabric - we used our large Christmas Stocking Boot CLCV445970
- Fabric paints assorted colours - we used DecoArt SoSoft
- Sponge dabbers/daubers - we used our assorted pack CLCV10409
- Paint palette - we used CLCV10330
- Brushes - we used CLSVP7
- Templates/stencils - we used used Laurie Speltz Instant Image CLDA IIP16-K
- Water and water pot
- Kitchen towel
Directions:
- On the palette we mixed a little SoSoft Fabric Paint (white CLDA DSS1-1OZ and blue CLDA DSS13-1OZ). We didn't mix the paint too thoroughly and we started with a small amount of blue paint with a large amount of white paint in the centre of the blue). This was done because the white paint did not show up very well on the cream fabric; a tint of blue made a subtle difference.
- We dabbed the large dabber/dauber in the paint mix and pressed a row of dots (to use as tummy's for the snowmen).
- We then dabbed the smaller dabber dauber in the paint mix and pressed a row of dots on top of the large dots (to use as heads for the snowmen).
- Once dry, we used the Laurie Speltz templates to stencil the branch/twig arms and scarf.
- Once dry, the scarf was embellished with stripes. Eyes and buttons were added using ends of paint brushes - but cotton buds can also be used). A carrot nose was added using a blob of paint that was dragged downwards.
- The hat was added using Silver Platinum metallic fabric paint CLDA DSM2-1OZ.
