Admittedly I'm a little late with this post with Bonfire Night having been on Tuesday...

...but better late than never plus a lot of areas are celebrating the event this weekend! I decided to decorate one of our CLMC209 Ceramic Spoons into a Firework and if you would like to create a similar effect or design here's what you need to do...

What you will need:

Begin by painting the entire background with DecoArt's Lamp Black Acrylic making sure that it is thoroughly covered in paint. Once dry, I took a finer brush and started the Firework beginning in the centre of the back of the spoon and working my way outwards using DecoArt's True Red Acrylic. Repeat this with DecoArt's Vivid Violet Acrylic to help bring out the bright colours, I also chose to continue one the lines towards the bottom of the spoon to look like the fireworks path.

After the initial firework has dried you can begin adding detail by using DecoArt's Snow White and painting dots along the lines, these will only want to be small dots. Next... the flame! I began by painting a very basic flame shape with DecoArt's True Red and after that had dried I used DecoArt's Bright Orange and Bright Yellow to add more detail. Finally you'll want to grab your DecoArt Gold Craft Twinkles (that I know you've been itching to use) and paint Gold dots close to your white ones to really bring out the colours within the firework and add some sparkle to your fire! Once completely dry use your DecoArt Gloss Varnish Spray to finish!
